“Jesus cried out, as He taught in the temple, saying, ‘You both know me and you know where I am found, and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know.” John 7 v 28

Lord God, almighty One in Three,

Father, Son and Holy Spirit,

You are our everything:

Your love is our life gifted fullness

In the offering of Your friendship.

Our life is too, filled by purpose,

That of sharing in Your holiness.

The way of life You offer us is love,

Just this, love above all else.

The means to accomplish love

Is made ours to name and claim

In that holy love You gift us,

The forgiveness found at the Lord Jesus’ †.

“...Your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake.” 1 John 2 v 12

You teach us through mercy thereby.

You invite us to become a part

Of Your new life giving holiness.

Holiness is made up of us

Turning to You expectantly, assiduously.

You are our security and safety,

Showing us the need for humility

That we express our dependency openly.

Yours is the way forwards in love,

With love, all of love’s purpose

To maintain and extend Your kingdom,

Here upon earth amongst all believers,

Those who have faith in You Father,

Enjoying daily the faith building friendship of Jesus.

“ ‘I know Him, for I am from Him, and He sent Me’.” John 1 v 29

We are looking to His Spirit of life enabling love for understanding.

This love is our defence against satan,

he who seeks to harm us by disquieting us.

For You have the ready answer.

Whenever we are anxious because we stray,

Fail to obey and reverence You properly,

In holy love is the power of mercy.

Mercy upbuilds us time and again

When we re-focus on Jesus according to the Spirit

Addressing us, assessing us, possessing us.

Prayerfully, consistently holy love empowers us.

What sweetness, gladness and fullness!

We consecrate our heart to that of the Lord Jesus.

“ ‘Increase our faith’.” Luke 17 v 5

We must be offering our every thought, word and action daily,

To be undertaken for His holy purpose only.

The love of the Trinity is truly wondrous

In outreach, in result, in effectiveness.

We pray and ask forgiveness for those times

When we do not love, do not trust, do not depend,

Looking once again at the divinity of Christ Jesus,

And the infinite merits found in His humanity,

Hopeful of the conversion of many by love.

Our Christianity is love lived daily, actively.

Lord, all holy Trinity, lead us now forwards,

Onwards, upwards, richly blessed by Your company.

“ ‘If anyone thirsts, let him (her) come to Me and drink’.” John 7 v 37

“ ‘(S)he wo believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his (her) heart will flow rivers of living water’.” John 7 v 38
